On dragon age origins, the mages tower in the fade- need help.?

im stuck on the mages tower in the fade defeating the sloth demon. i have defeated the 5 mini demons on the outside and 2 of the nightmare realms. i have helped all my characters but they disappeared. when i try fighting the sloth demon on my own it is an epic fail. i think my team members cant fight with me because i need another team member to do the 3rd nightmare realm. is there anyway to help? i dont have a fourth member to do the last nightmare realm so is there a way to find one or anything? On dragon age origins, the mages tower in the fade- need help.?
My memory is rather vague, and I did this awhile ago. but I do remember you have to go around get all your forms so you can go thru diff things. i don't remember Sloth being difficult though, if you control all your characters just have someone spam heal your tank and have your tank just keep taunting. If all else fails pause%26gt;settings%26gt;difficulty%26gt;easy ;P

Dragon Age Origins Questions?

Ok well I have a few questions pertaining to this game, because its really quite frustrating.

1. If your a female elf can you become queen and rule with Alistair?

2. How can you stay with Alistair if your an elf?

3. Can any of your characters deal the last blow to the Archdemon?

4. If you let Alistair kill Loghain what happens?

Well that's all I can think of for now, so if you can answer any of these that would be great. *I don鈥檛 mind spoilers*Dragon Age Origins Questions?
1. No. Only the human noble can be the queen.

2. Either don't make him the king, or "harden" his personality and he will keep you as his mistress.

3. Only a warden can deal the final blow, that character will die unless you partake in Morrigan's ritual.

4. Nothing special happens, you are asked to choose the new ruler and the game continues. The same thing happens if you kill Loghain yourself. But, Loghain must die if you want Alistair to stay with your party. He will leave you right then if you let him live.

Which of these four sequels (Halo, Fable, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed) would you get? Why?

There are announcements for these games, and it's most likely you know about Halo:Reach and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, where you still play as Ezio and starting to gather assassin's in Rome to take down the templars is coming out November 16, 2010.

Fable 3's supposed to come out next year (latter part of the year if I remember correctly.) where you're supposed to be a youngin' rising up to be King and ruling the country. (Even though you could be king in Fable 2, this ones actually part of the main story..)

Dragon Age 2 is coming out March of 2011 with a Blight Survivor by the name of Hawke as your main character.

Halo:Reach.. well. it should be well-known enough.

Which ones would you get and why?Which of these four sequels (Halo, Fable, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed) would you get? Why?
Halo Reach- the online play is going to be awesome, a lot of people will be online, customized spartan, the game is just going to be awesome.

Fable 3- As much as I was disappointed with fable 2 fable 3 looks promising, I won't get it right away but if the reviews stand and it lives up to the hype then I could see myself buying the game later on.

Personally was not a fan of Assassins creed but thats just because I'm not into those kind of games, I will not be getting Dragon age 2 because I played the first one and was very disappointed in the game overall-dragon age origins was overrated in my opinion and I usually love games like that.
Assassins creed. Halo reach, I have played and I was really into Halo 3 but not so much anymore into the halo series. I have never played Dragon age, but I want to but I would start with the first one and not the sequel. Fable II was very good and Assasins creed was also very good. overall I prefered Assassins creed a little more so I would say brotherhood but you forgot the amazingness that will be: Dead rising 2.Which of these four sequels (Halo, Fable, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed) would you get? Why?
i would get either halo reach, or assassins creed: brotherhood

assassins creed: brotherhood - simply cause there is online and it already was an awesome game before multiplayer should just make it even more awesome

Halo reach - because halo was already a pretty fun series and this is just bringing it even further and not only that think call of duty on halo with the class changes that shall be fun :)
Halo: Reach - Because i'm a diehard Halo fan, and I was really into Halo 3, but it was also too easy 2 beat, even on legendary and I kno Halo Reach's gameplay is gonna be awesome, and i kno its gonna be more harder 2 beat, and aliens are gonna be tougher opponents, and cant wait 2 get online

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - Because I already have Assassin Creed 1 %26amp; 2, and there were really, but 2 easy, and I wanna get Brotherhood, because i think its gonna be challenging!Which of these four sequels (Halo, Fable, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed) would you get? Why?
the only one i recon is halo reach. never heard of assasin's creed or brotherhood

Good RPG games like Dragon Age?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Dragon Age games but now that i hav beat all of them so many times i want something new! :)

Im actually really picky with my video games lol

I want an RPG games with good graphics, romance, and character customization (gender option to)

nothing like final fantasy though cause i dont like those anime stuff cause they freak me out... lmao

and also not Mass Effect 1,2 because i didnt like the combat or the political-ness or w.e

I want to play a game with a fantasy aspect not sci-fi :)

Preferably PS3 but am open to Xbox 360 and PC games to :)

THANX SO MUCH! :DGood RPG games like Dragon Age?
Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. You will not see better graphics in an RPG, at least until Elder Scrolls 5:Skyrim comes out in November

Same company that makes the Fallouts, but no guns. Just swords, bows, etc

$19.99Good RPG games like Dragon Age?
Maybe you should try some of BioWare's older work. Dragon Age is the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2 so maybe you should check that out. They also made Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire. I know you said no sci-fi but technically Star Wars is fantasy (based in part on medieval lore).

I've heard The Witcher is really good.Good RPG games like Dragon Age?
Well There is a dragon's age 2 out on the market.

However, you might look into "Two Worlds 2" and the original "Two Worlds" game.
Have you played any of the Fable series? I think they would be great for you. :)

*FREE* RPG similar to Dragon Age/Ultima Online/D&D, Neverwinter Nights, etc.?

I'm looking for a FREE RPG that is similar to Dragon Age, Ultima Online, Neverwinter Nights, or D%26amp;D Warriors of the Etenral Sun. The criteria includes:

1.being able to create and customize your own character

2.Involve elves, dwarfs, mages, etc.

3. Free and no monthly fees

4. Can be online or offline

5. Is not like Perfect World, that game is silly, repetitive and pointless.

6. Preferably not Anime in style or look (like Final Fantasy), but that's of least concern.

I have searched all over even for old genesis/snes roms but to no avail.

Thanks for any help!*FREE* RPG similar to Dragon Age/Ultima Online/D%26amp;D, Neverwinter Nights, etc.?
You mention Neverwinter Nights, do you already have it? Then you can download free player-made modules from NWVault. Check the ratings to find the good ones, I've provided links to a few that I like.

Tales of Arterra 1: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Mod鈥?/a>

(there's also a Tales of Arterra 2)

Blackguard 1: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Mod鈥?/a>

(there's also Blackguard 2 %26amp; 3)

Threat of Dreams 1: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Mod鈥?/a>

(again, there's a sequel)

There are also online servers for NWN that you can join, again for free. Not sure if this is what you're looking for or if you want a new game altogether, but I thought I should mention it.

New games that are good AND free are rather difficult to find. Runescape that was already mentioned here is the only one I can think of, but it's more like an MMORPG I believe.*FREE* RPG similar to Dragon Age/Ultima Online/D%26amp;D, Neverwinter Nights, etc.?

  • I finished and LOVED Dragon Age, what now?

I've tried a few games trying to find something as good, but with no luck. Sadly, I fear that nothing will live up to it. I really liked the character development and large scope of the game. I found myself CARING what happened, and couldn't wait to play once the kids went to bed. Yes, I'm a mom who has never been into games, but Dragon Age changed that.

What would you recommend? These are the games that I've tried that bombed in comparison...

    Mass Effect

    Mass Effect 2

    Avencast

    Elder Scrolls Oblivion

    The Witcher

A few others that REALLY sucked...

Help!! What should I play next?I finished and LOVED Dragon Age, what now?
    Persona 4

    Neverwinter Nights

Baldur's Gate (Dragon Age was the spiritual successor to the Baldur's Gate franchise)
All dragon age is is an offline world of warcraft. But I definitely wouldn't recommend to start playing that. You may as well kiss your life away.I finished and LOVED Dragon Age, what now?
I would recommend Final Fantasy 13. The game is awesome!!
Sadly, very few games are as fun as dragon age. I have yet to find one to play that is like it. You could try Final Fantasy 13 but in my opinion it wasn't so great. Try Borderlands... you might like it.I finished and LOVED Dragon Age, what now?
I know exactly what you mean.

I'm a total and utter game geek (RPG's mainly!) and I found myself caring about what happened too. It soon became my favorite game.

I've tried so many games, but sadly none compare to the depth and beauty of Dragon Age.

I've heard borderlands is really good - though i've not tried it yet, as I have a huge pile of games to get all the achievements for!

I would Suggest Fable 2. But it's quite a disappointment compared to Dragon Age.

However, i'll let you know if I find anything somewhat similar (:
Wow. First of all, I love you for being a girl who plays RPGs. I would have suggested the Mass Effect games and Oblivion. The Fallout trilogy is dope, and Elder Scrolls Morrowind. Just not FF13. It's just 1 giant tutorial.
You've shot down a couple of games I would normally have recommended for somebody who liked Dragon Age. I could suggest Fallout 3, but based on your not liking ME2 or Oblivion, you might not like that either.

World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, and Dungeons and Dragons are some good ones I've played with friends, hope this helps :)
heh. Your a bit picky. Neverwinter nights is the closest game i can think of to dragon age. But its only on pc though. Neverwinter nights is exactly like dragon age in so many area's, and i find neverwinter nights to be a better, and more fun game than dragon age. Dragon age is like a watered down version of neverwinter nights.

Neverwinter nights 1 had a certain feel to it that is not there in any other game i have played, but neverwinter nights 2 has incredibly amazing modules (mods) that add a completely new campaign that i find have a much better atmosphere and story than nearly all games on the market.

If you do get neverwinter nights 2, download the Dark waters module, you definitely won't be disappointed.Good RPG games like Dragon Age?
You should try out Divinity 2 Ego Draconis
Sacred 2 fallen angel.Good RPG games like Dragon Age?
Sounds like you might be into Fable 3.

How can I pass this part in Dragon Age Origins? Any tips?

I just wrote a lot, and it took me a lot of time. I hope someone can really help me on this!

You have allistar as an archer. You have no hope.

Dragon Age origins: Alistair will be king?

Ok I have been playing Dragon age for about 2 weeks, and thus far I have saved the circle, the woods, and Redcliff. Now I have a good question. My character has her ralationship level with Alistair maxed, and I have one going with him. I know that on ending has him as king, but i dont want that. I just saved the Arl with the Sacred ash, and he said something to the effect of him becoming king. I said " Alistair would be a terrible king " And the Arl said he had no choice. Does this mean he WILL be king, or can I still prevent this? Btw I already "hardened" him with the visit to his sister.Dragon Age origins: Alistair will be king?
No, remember, Alistair started this whole quest saying that Arl Eamon could unite the country. What the Arl said just means that Eamon thinks that Alistair has the stronger claim to the throne. What ultimately happens is up to you.

If you are playing a male human noble, it is possible for YOU to be king. The Couslands are second in rank only to the royal family.

If you are playing a female human noble, it is possible for YOU to be queen, again for the same reasons, and ONLY if Alistair is king and you announce at the Landsmeet that you will rule beside him.

A hardened Alistair actually makes a very good king, regardless of who winds up queen, but if you tell him you think he should marry Anora he's not exactly thrilled. If he's in love with your character, and you say you'll rule beside him, then he's all for it. If he's hardened, he'll marry Anora, but keep a female character of any kind on the side.

It is possible if you are playing any other type of character to leave Anora with the throne and run off with Alistair to go on being Grey Wardens. Just make sure that you don't let Loghain live. If he does, Anora will try to execute Alistair if she is made queen. If Akistair is made King, and you let Loghain live, he will be so angry he leaves the party.Dragon Age origins: Alistair will be king?
You can make Loghain's daughter the queen, but I think she makes Loghain a Grey Warden and Alistair either leaves or gets executed, but just save before you make the decision and take a different route should it not work out.Dragon Age origins: Alistair will be king?
you can keep him a grey warden and stay with him and you both may live after that.

there are maaaaany possibilities, depends on your decisions, i don't want to spoil to you telling everything but in short:

1.ali king, ali dies, warden lives

2.ali king, ali lives, warden dies

3.alir king, ali lives, warden lives (fem.warden becomes queen if she is human noble+ ali hardened)

4.alir king, ali lives, warden lives (fem.warden if not human noble cannot became queen, only lover of ali, and only if ali is hardened)*

5.ali king, anora queen, everyone lives, except L

6.ali king, anora queen, alis dies, warden lives

7.ali king, anora queen, alis lives, warden dies

8.ali stays warden, ali dies, warden lives

9.ali stays warden, ali lives, warden dies

10.ali stays warden, ali lives, warden lives (romance, if any, continues, any origin)

    11. ali wont stay warden, won't became king

Need help on Dragon Age Origins ?

First my guy is a male human noble and a had a +100 relationship with Morrigan.... Before the landsmeeting both Alistair and Anora agreed to get married and then in the landsmeeting Alistair killed Anora's father and become the king. Then after they return to redcliff I refuse morrigans offer and then she leave :( In the last fight I choose Wayne, Zevran and Sten. After a while the gray warden I saved before failed to kill the archdemon and died. So my guy sacrificed himself to kill the archdemon. At the end all went well but my guy died. So what I need is to save ma guy / Alistair and Morrigan +100 back without accepting the offer, I know she leaves but some say my guy find her and get her back in one of the expansion packs so halp me to figure it out ? And can you explain about those expansion packs a little ? And should I keep my save files to Dragon Age 2, will my old guys come back or will I have to play with Hawkins( the main character in DA 2) ?

Thank you and hell yeah this is one of the best game I have ever played....... :DNeed help on Dragon Age Origins ?
go to youtube to try to get some tips.Need help on Dragon Age Origins ?
Either way you still play as Hawke in DA2 since only your decisions wil carry over. In the DLC Witch Hunt, you get to see Morrigan again at the end and I think you're able to get her back (well actually, go with her).

There's a huge plothole though if your warden died in the main game, since in the DLCs and Awakening expansion your warden is alive for no reason or explanation.

Unless you can get that DLC cheap somehow or in the Ultimate Edition, Witch Hunt isn't worth its price and doesn't really give any satisfying conclusions or closures.

  • Dragon Age: Fort Drakon (Final Battle)?

I'm having a lot of trouble breaking in here.... I can't even get past the entrance. It's my first playthrough so I screwed up my characters' attributes and abilities and I turned down Morrigan's ritual so I lost all my aoe spells; I didn't train Wynne in any because I always had Morrigan in my group, and I have 3 other warriors in my group (probably a horrible setup but they were the only ones I felt I didn't screw up too badly) so I don't have a lot to work with here. My gear is okay, mostly tier 6 and 7 (dragonscale, legion armor, Yusaris) but I'm almost out of health and lyrium potions. Anyway, my group setup is Alistair, Shale, and Wynne.... any tips or bugs I could use to my advantage? The emissaries keep blowing my team up before I can take them down, I take such heavy damage that Wynne can't even keep up, and sometimes the little dragons don't even shatter when I Petrify-%26gt;Stonefist them and it's really irritating because not only does Wynne run out of mana 30 seconds into the fight, but she has less than 200 health and dies in about 2 hits (or some other team member gets Overwhelmed or fire-breathed on).

Frankly I'm not sure if I can take the archdemon. I was able to beat tough battles before after repeated tries (Flemeth and Cauthrien come to mind, the first few attempts I could barely shave off 10% from them) and I was able to take the High Dragon at the temple near Haven on the first try so I thought I was doing good and I didn't screw up my characters as bad as I thought but I guess I did.... and I'd really prefer not to accept Morrigan's ritual (doesn't fit in with the way I want to play my Warden) and fight all the way up to Fort Drakon AGAIN to potentially fail.

Am I out of options?Dragon Age: Fort Drakon (Final Battle)?
WOW, sounds like you messed up with your group dynamics. it would help to know your group's stats and talents. I'm surprised that you relied on Morgan and decided not to cater to her u messed up when she joined your group then. My first play through i had a hard time because i made wynne a arcane warrior instead. however, i felt alistair and every other male in the game was weak compaired to the benefits and skills the women started off with. so i had me (i played a warrior/berserker/reaver lady), leliana (bard/ranger for extra summon for group), wynne (arcane warrior/spirit healer) , morgan (shapeshifter/arcane warrior) who used necromancing for extra member in group so i had a party of 6

Can anybody make potions/do you have enough to make potions? morgan did pots for me

Can anybody set traps/do you have enough material for traps? leliana did traps for me

it would help to get the armor from the forest when you had to kill remnants (once i got the set i didn't change armor for the rest of the game)

i would suggest using a "pull" technique where you send your strongest out to pull a few enemies and kill them (would work better if someone could make traps) leliana did this for me

or try splitting up except wynne have her attack with someone but ranged (if she has a staff)

Did you make leliana a hunter or whatever (sorry im sleepy n at work) she can summon a bear, wolf, or spider thats an extra member in your group.

how high is wynnes constitution (very important in this game)? just because she is a healer doesnt mean she doesnt need life. mana? wisdom?

keep trying i guess or have sex with morgan.

Dragon age origins - stuck in the tower!?

i bought dragon age origins yesterday and spent several hours playing. I'm playing as an elf mage (if that's relevant), and have got to the bit where I've been recruited by Duncan %26amp; Alistair, met the King, explored the battle emcampment, done the Wilds quest, and now Alistair %26amp; I have been sent up the tower to light the beacon or something. We met 2 guards along the way which have now joined the party. We got up the 3 floors, only to get to a room where this big monster (demon?) is waiting for us.

The problem I'm having is that basically, i can't figure out how to kill it.

    - firstly, my mana runs out far too quickly for me to be able to send continuous spells at it

    - when i do send a spell at it, it doesn't hurt it anywhere near as much as any normal darkspawn

    - everyone else gets killed before the beast gets half its life depleted, and then I snuff it as well

There's also a small staircase in that room that leads down, but when i try to make an exit through here, the character just stays stuck on the stairs, as it can't seem to get down to escape.

Is there a bug in the game making me unable to escape? Or am I supposed to kill this thing first? If I'm supposed to kill it, a little help would be appreciated.

I actually did have a bug in a second game i played with a human character, where the side door in the main hall of the castle would not let me get through, untill i restarted the game.Dragon age origins - stuck in the tower!?
You cant escape when you fight the troll: Do the following to beat it.

Make Alastair the tank (Melee/Sheild) (Takes the damage)

    You: Heal/Spellcast

    Set the archer to damage

Set the other melee guy to damage up close with alastair

    Use potions.

Plan B: Try and get the monster to follow you, run around the room in big circles while the others shoot and attack it.

    Please answer these.

    1. Do you customize your characters appearence?

    2. Is it kind of an RPG style? Please tell me the style of the game.

    3. Is there a lot of armor/weapons in the game?

    4. What is the game about?

    5. Anything else important.

    Thank you!Dragon Age Origins Questions?
You can kind of customize and it is an RPG where you level up and spend skill points. The is quite a lot of armor and weapons but you don't find much until later in the game. The game is about these monsters and are trying to kill everyone but it is up to you and other people to defeat the monsters and save everyone. Also the game is not multiplayer sadly.Dragon Age Origins Questions?

Dragon Age II: Can I start a new game, without my old save being removed?

I had the problem in another Bioware game, Mass Effect. I had grown tired of my character, and started a new game. Then I changed my mind and went back to my old save, but it wasn't there. Only the new saved game was.

Same situation in Dragon Age II. Right now I'm a rogue in Act 2, but I don't much like my character.

So I wanted to just try a new game, and play as a warrior or mage.

But I don't want my rogue character save to be removed.Dragon Age II: Can I start a new game, without my old save being removed?
Yes you can start a new game, just make sure you dont save over your other file, make sure when choosing new game you dont pick the file with the previous character otherwise it will auto save on the file.

Dragon Age Orgins, Huge questions [Morrigan] Storyline PLEASE HELP!?

For the main question..I happen to be a big fan of the game because of the character "Morrigan" Wich is the best aspect in the game after my opinion, so after i completed the game. After so i wanted to find morrigan that is why i discvored extra content, sure there was problem installing it but after alot of hours i got it, so i finished "Wich hunt" pretty fast and still the end question about her remains unanswared, I want to know if in the future or now? will there be any exspanion, any any thing wich have a story with her? If not I dont want to be bothered but I dont wanna play if she is out of the game

And why they make dragon age 2 and MORRIGAN is not in it? after many hours of forum reading i read that from DAO there is no answare about morrigan in dragon age 2....When she obviously states that I will find her again

The last words between my character and her was

Warden : Will I ever see you again?

Morrigan: Not if you are fortunate

I read alot in forums, and I read that in da2 someone thinks that "Flemeth" Is morrigan

Still that is not an answare, that is a complete different story, it has no connection between the last words we exchange. her child is aleready born and is obviously with flemeth or alone some place but...to make a long story short to add a final question, is there any tips, hints explination someone tell me do anyone know if there is something more than the last scene I had with Morrigan? please understand what i meanDragon Age Orgins, Huge questions [Morrigan] Storyline PLEASE HELP!?
In Witchhunt, the end changes a lot based on your dialog options and the relationship your character had with Morrigan in the main story. What you experienced is not the only ending.
And then the whole points of dragon age 3 is gone if i follow her in to the mirror, what will happen then? why are they doing this, look like they made morrigan's ending drunk....it doesnt make sense

Morrigan is not in Dragon Age 2 because she leaves and goes into hiding.

Flemeth does appear in Dragon Age 2 (even if you 'killed' her on Morrigan's behalf) because of a precaution she takes before her death in Dragon Age Origins.

I'd heard a rumor that there is more to learn about Morrigan and her warden/demon baby but beyond that, I don't know how they will play into Dragon Age 3. I do know that there will be no more DAO expansions.

  • What happens after Dragon Age: Origins?

I have just finished playing this game and i really don't want the game to end!!

    What happens next?

I know i can buy the DLC but with fathers day comming up, i don't really have much money to spare.

i was a female human and i was dating alistair.

what does is the dlc about and what happens to my character?

please just give me the plot without giving the whole story away.

i do want to play it myself eventually.

also, what is the plot of Dragon Age 2?

will i get to keep my character and keep dating Alistair?

I used to be a CoD guy, but now after playing this game, i am sticking to RPG's.

    please and thank you.

    =D

    i %26lt;3 Alistair.

LMAO jkWhat happens after Dragon Age: Origins?
You should play the expansion Awakening if you want to see the very end of your warden's story and romance with Alistair. In Dragon Age 2 you play a whole new character and it doesn't have much to do with the events in Origins.

Basically in Awakening you become the Warden Commander of Fereldan. If Alistair is king he will make a cameo and if he is romanced he will be mentioned in the epilogue. He isn't a companion though, they are all new except for Ogrehn. You spend your time managing your new Keep and investigating the appearance of talking intelligent darkspawn. That's pretty much all I can say without revealing too much.

Do I have to load the epilogue from Dragon Age: Origins in order for the storyline to carry over to Awakenings?

So here's what happened I finished beating the Archdemon. I did the dark ritual (Morrigan and Alistair) because I was playing a Female Elf Mage. I did the whole ceremony at the end because I picked Anora to rule as queen on her own (oddly enough she refers to Alistair being dead but he was standing right there lol). I went the whole Grey Warden route and Alistair said that he would be by my side because there is no other place he would rather be awwww. So I talked to everyone else and saved right before I walked out.

    (1) In the Epilogue it only mentioned that me and Zevran go on to serve the Gray Warden and no mention of Alistair why is that? %26lt;===Did i Screw up something

    (2) The game did not auto-save my closing epilogue in to a separate file the last save is the one I did myself right before I walked out to greet the public( before the epilogue). If I use that as my import file to Awakenings will the effects from what happened in the Dragon Age: Origins still carry over to this storyline even though it does not have the ending epilogue of what happened to all the characters in the game including mine?Do I have to load the epilogue from Dragon Age: Origins in order for the storyline to carry over to Awakenings?
    that games old

Xbox 360, Operation Flashpoint? Or Dragon Age?

Alright, im allowed one game, and cannot decide, need a discussion on opinions.

Here are why i would like the games

Dragon Age: Been looking for a good, vast, long and fullfilling RPG game for some time. This seems to be it. Not only does it look good but it can last 50 hours just one play through. You can also choose characters and customize them, and choose a class

Operation Flahspoint: I get the biggest thrill from army games. They are my fav games. I have just finished Call Of Duty Modern Warefare 2 on veteran difficulty. The hardest, and want something harder. Apparently OF can fullfill my needs. Has very hard gameplay, very realistic, and just an extensive game that looks amazing.

So i need peoples opinions, i am sold on both, in the end its just gonna end up to what the game salesmen thinks i should get and ill just grab it lol, unless someone can convince me to choose one. Either way im gona be a happy man :D :D :DXbox 360, Operation Flashpoint? Or Dragon Age?
    I'd go with Dragon Age.

It seems like an exciting RPG and I havent played one in a while.

You can be who you want to be and the action looks intense (:

Im getting it. (:Xbox 360, Operation Flashpoint? Or Dragon Age?
Dragon Age...more for your money+alot longer playtime.

    Dragon age :origins fans!!?

okay i just finished the game after i got it for christmas.

i played as both a female city elf and a male human noble.

i was the last one standing both times to defeat the Archdemon.

    what were you?

i had all of my allies at the end =] well except for morigan ....farewell

did you grow attached to the characters? if so which ones?

mine were Sten, Zev and Alister

in the end i chose to stay in denerim as chancellor.

are they going to make a dragon age 2? in my opinion i would love a second game based of of the possible descendants of your char or your friends children.

one where you fight the qunari like Sten warned us perhaps even see Sten again (yes i adored Sten i totally understood him)Dragon age :origins fans!!?
A sequel will probably be made considering the game's massive popularity, but BioWare is currently working on Mass Effect 2, so don't expect it soon. They are, however, creating DLC, such as Return to Ostagar, which was delayed from January 5th but should be out soon.

Also in the works is an expansion: Awakening. Info can be found here: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_A鈥?/a>

As for the first game, I was a male human noble, playing an idealistic and ultimately good, but terrified of dying, rogue. I had a real fondness for Sten and Zevran as well, but wound up leaving them at camp most of the time, since my character's altruism often drew disapproval. Instead, I brought around Alistair, Wynne and Leliana.

Leliana has to be my favorite of the companions. I though she started out rather bland, but the ending to her romance quest was just beautiful, especially when she said "I walked where the Maker led me and he has rewarded me for my faith. I found you."

In the end, I executed Loghain for his crimes, and convinced Alistair and Anora to marry. (One of the chief things about my character was his incredibly persuasive nature.) I made the deal with Morrigan, as my character wanted to save all the Wardens - it was too bad Riordan had to die, but what a way to go out. In the end, I left with Leliana and Zevran in tow, to the arling of Amaranthine which Alistair gave to the Grey Wardens. A pretty good ending, I suppose - although my character did vow to track down Morrigan. Zevran should be able to help with that.

I hope they have some sort of save transfer feature like in Mass Effect 2, that would be great, I'd like to continue this story in the sequel. Apparently, that's an option in the expansion, or you can play a new Warden from Orlais.

I'm currently replaying as a mage with an "ends justify the means" opinion and a heavy anti-religion bias, in contrast to my devout first character.Dragon age :origins fans!!?
    Human Warrior my first game

    Dwarf Warrior my second

Team in the first one was Oghren, Leliana and Wynne

    Dragon age series PC question?

I'm looking for a new RPG game after completing Mass Effect 2 and found BioWare have another RPG game - Dragon Age. If Mass Effect was that amazing, i would think dragon age would be as well. But after looking into a few gameplay, the combat system looks similar to that of WoW or any mmorpg where you move around using WASD, highlight an enemy and it starts auto attack and number keys for magic skill. Of course i have not played that game yet therefore i cannot be sure, so i'm here to ask anyone who played it before :

I've noticed there are a few characters following you, are they AI controlled or do you have to control each of them manually?

What is the pause system for?

How is the controls like? WASD to move, left mouse click to attack, number keys for magic?

That's all i could think of, but you can include anything worth mentioning.Dragon age series PC question?
The combat system in Dragon Age is akin to older Bioware games, namely Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. The combat is basically similar across these games, and this type of combat is modeled after Dungeon's and Dragons rules, where attacks are decided based on dice rolls that are influenced by character stats. This form of combat emphasizes tactical decisions over brute force.

When combat begins, characters begin to auto attack while mixing in active attack abilities as per the tactics you designate for them. The party is AI controlled, but unlike Mass Effect, you can switch control between any character at any time.

The pause system is que up orders for your team. Combat in DA:O becomes quite hectic and can easily spiral out of control if you don't keep up with it. There are targets of high priority which come at different intervals in combat and with different specializations. Ranged caster/bow enemies may require some form of ranged crowd control, a powerful melee champion enemy may require attack and armor debuffs, and they need it NOW. Pausing is a good way to make sure the right party member does the right action. Things like this literally mean life or death in DA:O, as a move that comes too late or applied on the wrong target can cause a wipe. Pausing is a heavily tactical aspect of the game.

You can use WASD to move, right click to move, and so on. All you need to do is make sure your character is engaging the enemy you want him to, and he'll auto attack on his own. Number keys are for abilities.

Each character has something called a "Tactics Menu". Basically, you can define a condition in which that character uses an ability or item. You may want to make sure your tank drinks a weak health potion at 50% health, or a powerful health potion at 25% health. You may want your melee dps classes to stack armor debuffs on elite or higher ranked enemies. You may want your rogue to stun an enemy that made it past your tank to attack your healer. These are good way to make sure your party can remain somewhat independent, but you can't rely on these tactics to carry you through the game. Combat pausing will still be a necessity.Dragon age series PC question?
Dragon age is a great game. No. It's not like Wow. It's actually more like Baldur's gate or Neverwinter Nights in gameplay. Yes. You do control all of the characters but it's not that complicated. You'd get use to it in no time.

Ps. There's a Dragon Age 2. You might want to consider that.Dragon age series PC question?
    1. I've noticed there are a few characters following you, are they AI controlled or do you have to control each of them manually?

-%26gt; Both. You can control each member of your party. The characters you're not controlling are AI controlled. You can customize the AI in the tactics screen. For instance, if you want a mage you're not controlling to be a healer you can select a condition (if ally HP %26lt; 25%) and an action (Heal).

    2. What is the pause system for?

-%26gt; For strategic purposes. You have to change strategies on the spot and in that case it's a good idea to pause the game, tell all your party members what to do and then unpause to see how effective your strategy is.

    3. How is the controls like?

WASD to move or left mouse + right mouse button to move. Right click to attack. Drag with left miuse button to select multiple party members. Numbers keys to select skills. Tab to highlight objects uou can interact with.

Dragon Age Origins goes back to the Origin of RPG so gameplay is very similar to traditional RPGs. As you have noticed this is a play style that has been used by MMO developers. Needless to say this game is almost nothing like Mass Effect.

is anybody looking forward to dragon age 2 in a week?

i played the demo and i fell in love with the game from the characters and the covno wheel and even the opitions of weapons for different characters that of which i think is awesome. then you have different races and different classes and even if your one type of class you still have other party members that are of different classes that you can personally control and not to mention you can customize your character from the way you look to the clothes you have on as well as having the opition of being in a relationship or just having sometype of romance with other characters in the story i think this game s gonna be epic.

the only thing i dont like about this game based off the demo is the graphics..........Opinions gaming brothers?Dragon Age II (Whos else is excited about this game)?
Hopefully it will be as good as the first.Dragon Age II (Whos else is excited about this game)?
Dragon age 1 got crap reviews and everyone I know said its rubbish...so not me...

Is your main character a good tank in dragon age origins?

First off, I have a lot of questions...

    1. I tried using Alistair as my tank but nobody attacks him (they attack my main) and he always dies - even when he uses the two abilities that make enemies more aggressive to him. Why is this? I even gave him the best equipment but still the same. What skills shoud I give him? (Sword and shield, Warrior, etc...?) Should I put points into his Strength or Constitution? Finally what other abilites should he have (Trap making/Poison Making/Warrior training etc...?)

    2. When do you start getting good armour and weapons? Which town/city sells good weapons and armour? Money is not an issue I did the money glitch and got 1000 gold :) I ask because I want good stuff that will keep alistair alive!

All help will be greatly appreciated! I love this game, but am not that good. :(Is your main character a good tank in dragon age origins?
In order to have an effective tank you need the Threaten and Taunt talents in the Warrior Tree, these are essential for keeping the enemies' attention.

Constitution -%26gt; Strength -%26gt; Willpower -%26gt; Agility are the most important 4 stats. You need a minimum of 26 Agility to get all the Weapon and Shield Talents.

There are tank items all over the world, a couple of rings one is in Orzammar, I think the other is at the vendor in the Circle of Magi. Maric's Blade is the best weapon, but it's only avalible if you have Return to Ostagar installed. The Best Armor is Calin's (From Return ot Ostagar) or the Warden Commander Armor (From Warden's Keep) If you don't have any DLC then the Juggernaut is the best armor in the Brecellin forest.

If you want to make your own tank, you will always have more talents and stats then the rest of the party. I suggest going Dwarf for the Magic resistance racial. Is your main character a good tank in dragon age origins?
only good armor you get for tanks are the dragon scale armor from killing the big ugly beast later on theres also good armor on some of the dlc make sure you get tanks con dex and str up will help out a lot

always go for the sheild abilitys if you tank and you need the threaten ability as well or its like a tank with no taunt

What happens if you take Merrill to 100% rivalry in Dragon Age 2? (spoilers)?

    -- Spoilers below --

Ok, so it seems - I mean this is only what I've observed - is that most people take the route with Merrill where you say yes to everything she says, romance her and she ends up staying with you.

I've had lengthy discussions on this - it seems to me that if the player, who's the only one who has the ability to change the outcome of this mess, chooses the path where he encourages Merrill to persue her obsession with the Eluvian, never objecting and never saying no, it is definitely bad not only for her clan but ultimately for Merrill herself. It may seem that the player gets what he wants - he or she gets Merrill to his or herself, no more objections from the clan and she is devoted to the player's character. But to me this is actually the worst outcome possible. In real life, no one could say you were really being a friend to Merrill by encouraging her to follow a prolonged demon-forged path that resulted in not only her Keeper but her entire clan getting killed, and end up standing there going on about that the reason it happened was because they wouldn't listen to her. To me, the wrongness of this is implacable. You end up with a dead keeper, a dead clan and an elf who refuses to take responsibility that her actions had anything to do with it, and who looks at you for complete validation for everything she is. It's horribly unhealthy, and something a demon would want to do to someone to shape them into a tool determined to release it.

At first I was so disgusted by this that I thought that Merrill was bad in some way, or crazy - but really I will admit I was wrong. It's you as the player in the game that determines how this goes, but I'm not quite done yet with the end of my first playthrough, and am already wanting to play it differently and am considering pursuing the rivalry path.

So, back to my question - if instead you choose to rival her, which from what I understand is not the same as hatred or antagonism, though many (including me) may have thought so, does this come out better for Merrill in terms of her well being? Meaning, yes, while you may not get her 100% devoted to you, would it be the best thing for her to be in the first place?

Also, please advise on the rivaly romance. I've read that you can romance her while she is in rivalry, which while may seem illogical, some people are the best couples who fight. What happens if you take Merrill to 100% rivalry in Dragon Age 2? (spoilers)?
I rivaled Merrill. Yes, I thought she was very stupid, but it turns out that she was already compromised when she meets Hawke. She did appear sane, however. It's impossible to hate her though.

Friendship or Rivalry, when you hit 100% of either, a character is completely devoted to your cause. They do not agree with you all the time, but they respect your opinion. Fenris is another case where some of the conversations can appear bitter, and by supporting Anders and mages in general it seems you are flying in the face of everything Fenris hates. But if he's 100% rival, he will still totally back your play in Act 3.

    SPOILERS, indeed -

There are things in the game that do not change, no matter what you do, and this is perhaps the only gripe I have that remains about DA2. You will have to kill the Arishok, Anders is going to go all Unabomber on the Chantry and Merrill is going to have to kill the Keeper, who will get possessed in order to save Merrill from the demon in the mirror.

Merrill is under the influence of a Pride demon and is unable to accept that her actions will result in disaster. She thinks she is wise enough, has been careful enough, and won't fall prey to what clearly killed Tamlin.

If you Rival her, you spend the game feeling like you are kicking a puppy. It feels worse if Anders and Fenris are in the party with you and Merrill as they will also jump in and unload on Merrill for her misguided notion that she can come out the winner while dealing with demons.

If you are in a friendship or rivalry with her, you have an equal chance to avoid violence, or wind up slaughtering every Dalish on the Sundermount after the confrontation with the Pride demon and the Keeper. Even as a rival, I thought what Fenris and Anders said to her after that battle and all the way home to Kirkwall was incredibly harsh. But considering the price paid for playing with the Eluvian, they were not entirely wrong.

For a rivalry, I kept Merrill out of the party for any of Anders personal quests, and once she brings up the mirror, disagree with her every step of the way. When she asks for your help getting the tool, be short and blunt rather than supportive, but go with her. After the task the Keeper gives you is complete, refuse to give the tool to Merrill. Just don't. It royally pisses her off, in that cute Merrill way. When you talk to her in her house later, continue to stand by your earlier decision and she kicks you out of her house, and you find the whole party standing out in the street in the Alienage. I was so surprised by this I laughed pretty hard at the thought of tiny Merrill tossing Hawke, Anders and Fenris out the door. I haven't encountered a break point that causes her to leave the companions entirely.

Later on she will break the mirror, only the difference is that she will tell you that you were right all along.

For a Rival-mance, I still flirted with Merrill during her Questioning Beliefs quests and when giving her the two gifts. The mechanics work the same as most other romances in the game. You just have to dig in about the mirror and blood magic to maintain rivalry and avoid conversations with others she would approve of (Anders, mostly). When you reach a certain point in Act 2, like Fenris she will turn up at your mansion and force the romance issue. I hadn't planned on it, and was surprised by it, considering how harsh my M!Hawke was in conversations, but there she is and you can accept by flirting, or shut her down in the hallway. After the romance scene you can opt to continue it, or kick her (almost literally) out of bed and end it.

As squabbling couples (Rival-mance) go, Fenris is the best material for that - he gives as good as he gets in an argument. I can't shake the puppy-kicking feeling of fighting with Merrill. What happens if you take Merrill to 100% rivalry in Dragon Age 2? (spoilers)?
Yes, rivalry is much better for her in the end. She gives up on the mirror and blood magic. She also feels regret for her clan instead of disgust. You basically help her see the error of her ways instead of enabling her.

Rivalry makes no difference in the romance as long as you make sure to max it out completely. Basically take a hard stance against her using blood magi and refuse to help her repair the mirror. She also gains rivalry if you send mages to the circle and generally denounce magic. Merril feels frustrated with you at times for not supporting her, but she still likes Hawke and you do feel like they have a good relationship despite their disagreements.

  • I can't beat the Qunari (Dragon Age 2)?

I have Fenris, Anders, and Avaliene (and my character of course) fighting the last battle on Act II

    I can't beat the Qunari!!!

You either have to dual the Qunari King (which I die right off hand with that) or all his minions (i live a tad bit longer here but not much)

I've read a lot of the walkthroughs and still can't beat this level!!!

please help? what did you do to beat the qunari?

I've tried arming Ludwig (my character) with a bow and arrow which failed miserably because he is a rogue trained with double bladesI can't beat the Qunari (Dragon Age 2)?
I beat the Arishok pretty easily on Nightmare, by using hit and run tactics.

-Use the pillars to escape his blows.

    -Hit him with grenades.

-Summon dog if you have the DLC.

Just keep running, and try to poison him.I can't beat the Qunari (Dragon Age 2)?
Have you tried lowering the difficulty down to casual?

I just finished dragon age 2, what the hell happened?

I mean seriously, what the hell happened, was there any real under lining story, aside from mages are being oppressed by Templar's. We get that, we knew that was happening in the first game. All you do in this game is show that the mages are getting it worse.

You can probably tell how much I loved Origins by the name of my character, but this game... Was just average. I could look past the fact that the game did not even try to hide the recycling of areas over and over again and I could get over fighting 3 waves of the same mobs all the time. I could get over the fact that there was not too many different creatures in this game as well, if you simply give me a good story.

So can anyone please tell me, what the hell happened? I want to try and believe that this game was not as bad as I currently think it is, call it denial if you want. But I have not been this disappointed since kingdom of the crystal skull.I just finished dragon age 2, what the hell happened?
Dragon age 2 was a failure. Story is horrible, Gameplay is bad.... They didn't improve, they got worse! So don't worry if you don't understand. Its their fault for having such bad story writers.

Dragon Age 2, what tree should my mage focus on?

    Hey guys!

I just started playing DA2, and I picked mage because I knew it would be the most enjoyable character for me.

Now, I'm new to DA (yeah, sure me) and I'm not sure which tree to focus my mage on. I will of course pick attributes from different trees, but... you know. :)

Seriously, I'm a newbie to this game, but I don't need any babying or anything. Just tell me what a beginner should do and why it's preferable. I'm new to DA, but not these kind of games.Dragon Age 2, what tree should my mage focus on?
Your mage should focus on the magic tree...

    Good luck!

Are you excited for Dragon age 2?

if you haven't heard, go to dragonage, com

i'm excited, but kind of scared that they will cut back too much on personalization

i am excited about the fully voiced character though, finally some personality! Are you excited for Dragon age 2?
Extremely. I liked the idea of personalized characters, but I really hated having a silent main character. I'd much rather have a set main character.
ya im pretty excited but there making allot of changes

1 you're only be able to play the main character like in mass effect

2 there redesigning the combat system for the 360 and PS3

    Dragon Age 2 Import question?

OK, read this carefully. So I have a character in DA: Origins that I want to import into DA2. But I want to play the DA: Origins DLC. I was wondering is what order of DLC do I go in? e.g. Order: Origins into awakening into witch hunt into golems.

Can somebody help? Thanks :)Dragon Age 2 Import question?
I would do the DA:O first just because of the difference from the first to the second. The second is completely different but there is DA:3 confirmed so it would be nice to transffer again. So pretty much DA:O%26gt;DA:2%26gt;DA:3(in future)Dragon Age 2 Import question?
I'd play any DLC you have first before playing Awakening. In Awakening you will have a seperate save file for a reason, I would deffinitly beat this before playing DA:2. That's because you will see characters that are just from Awakening in it. When your ready to start DA:2, import your character that beat Awakening, so that they beat both Origins and that. As for order of the other DLC, it doesn't matter at all since its all random, just for fun stuff and doesn't effect DA:2 at all. Hope that helps :)Dragon Age 2 Import question?
You can get the DLCs and play them in any order you want, as far as I know. You just have to get to the beginning of the quest to start it. I recommend you do them in the order they were released, e.g. Golem --%26gt; Witch Hunt --%26gt; Awakening (I think that's the order?)

I don't think they have much influence over DA2 though.
I'm going to say the order and a couple of the imports

    1. Origins- Warden's origin, Who's on the Throne, companion's fates

1.5 Wardens Keep - New minor quest depending on chosen side

1.5 Return to Ostagar (rumored, no known effects)

    2. Awakening -Fate of Vigils keeps and Amaranthine, Nathaniel Howe, minor Anders dialogue changes.

3: Golems - Currently unknown effects

    4. Witch Hunt - Currently unknown effects

  • Dragon Age 2-Deep Roads Expedition?

So I recently bought DA2 around 3 days ago, I didn't purchase Origins so was slightly worrried it woudln't make any sense. The combat was quite hard to grasp at first, but now iv'e picked it up it's all good. However I just currently started the deep roads expedition and i'm at the part where the elvish man is asking for a man to be killed for taking his daughter into the cave/tombs. So I face 3 lots of enimies, i have 2 mages and a rouge with me, no problem. Then i get to the final part, spiders are respawning constantly and some higher levelled character attacks as well.

Iv'e tried this several times now, but always fail. I try new tactics everytime, and have even lowerered the diffifculty to casual just to try get past this. But all fails.

Am i using my character and its abbillties to potentional? I am on level 10, have not really checked out new armour or anything in the shops, just done the main quests and side quests.

Any help would be appreciated, love the game, don't want to put it down.

ps. this is my first rpg styled game like this.Dragon Age 2-Deep Roads Expedition?
You can't be on those two quests at the same time. You must still be earning the coin you need to join the expedition. Once you leave for the deep roads expedition, that completely cuts you off from all the other quests in Act 1.

The quest you are having trouble with is a fight that will repeat often in the game, as far as monsters and strategy is concerned.

If you are a mage, then you should have access to Aveline, Carver, and possibly Fenris by now. Drop Merrill from the team - she doesn't get scary powerful until later levels. Put Fenris, Aveline, or Carver in her place - whichever of them you have given talents to taunt enemies and withstand or dish out melee damage.

You need AoE - area of effect spells/abilities, and a proper 'tank' - a melee character whose job it is to focus enemy aggression on them and away from the characters with weaker defenses, like mages.

I will assume that your Hawke and Anders are both equipped with AoE talents. Different ones, hopefully. Firestorm and Tempest are a good choice. If you have Varric or Sebastian, and they have Hail of Arrows, this is also a good AoE. Drop one or two AoE into the bulk of the enemies, and send the rogue and melee characters to mop up the survivors. If someone tries to engage a mage, have the mage use Mind Blast, or Cone of Cold to discourage it, or if you are a Force mage use a spell to throw them back.

If that doesn't work, send your tank to deal with whatever is trying to eat the mages, while the rogue keeps killing things.

If an enemy caster appears, kill it first, with extreme prejudice. If you have a mage with Crushing Prison, drop that on enemy spell casters, Revenanths and similar baddies to tie them up and hurt them while a melee rogue or fighter can pound on them.

Go for combos - enemies stunned by a warrior are easy pickings for a rogue or AoE mage spells. Enemies paralyzed or brittle from mage spells are easy prey for warriors.

And yes - make sure you change our your party weapons and accessories to the best you have on hand. You shouldn't have to spend anything at this point, but anything is better than your starting weapons.Dragon Age 2-Deep Roads Expedition?

Dragon Age Origins: Where does your character fit in?

So I'm wondering what class people decided on making. I only wonder this because, after reading through the guide book a bit, it seems like...your character is really just...at best, an extra, instead of an addition.

You've got Alistair as the tank, (at least I plan on staying with him) you've got two Rogues, 1 an Assassin and one a Bowman/Bard, you've got two mages, a nuker and a healer, and 2 warriors (3 if you count the golem) that act as strong DPS/Off tank characters. You've got every type of character you need for a successful party, even without your own character.

So, what did everyone else do?Dragon Age Origins: Where does your character fit in?
I tried mage already but my built really sucked 'cause i wasted all my attribute points on constitution. STUPID ME. so I don't know how it feels like being a good mage because I was so horrible I had to switch to casual in the middle of the game!!:)) Anyway, I fared better as a rogue focused on dexterity. It's like i'm surrounded by opponents but I can fight really well because they can barely hit me. So I fit in as a leader and lock-picker and stuff. I don't use Leliana.:P I usually bring Wynne Morrigan and any other random person and I'm doing pretty well!Dragon Age Origins: Where does your character fit in?
I tried out all 3 and I prefer the mage. As a warrior and a rogue you basically only do hack and slash with a few skills in between, it's dunderhead work. As a mage you control the battlefield and have a lot of spells and abilities to choose from, but you need to be more careful because you die easily.

Am I the only one who liked Anders from Dragon Age 2?

Okay, I was playing a- though there is no morality bar but you get the picture- Renegade Pro-Mage (a Mage himself) Hawke. Sure, Anders annoyed me whenever I mentioned Blood Magic and he got all high-horsed but I always supported him whenever we were dealing with mages and apostates. When he blew up the Chantry I was like "OMG! WOW! FINALLY SOMEONE DOES IT!". I even asked him why he didn't tell me his plan before because I would have helped. Like, come on people, I know in real life killing isn't acceptable but there are PLENTT of people whom play Renegade/evil characters in DA2 so why does Anders get so much hate for what he did? I loved that plot twist and would have had my Hawke done it sooner and bigger if I could. Just for that, Anders became my second favorite character (behind Isabela). When Sebastian demanded Anders be killed I told him "Screw you, you high-horse, hypocritical ***. Bring your damn army- WHICH, if it weren't for me you wouldn't have one- I'll destroy each and every one of them with my magic and then Anders and I will blow your palace up just like he did the Chantry". Seriously, the Chantry had it coming too by enslaving innocent Mages and enforcing their religion on society. It was as if the Catholic church was in power again and they had law-enforcing knights. If anything, Taventer has the right idea more so than the Chantry here does.Am I the only one who liked Anders from Dragon Age 2?
Count me in.Am I the only one who liked Anders from Dragon Age 2?
yep i hate anders with a passion more so than i did alistair in dao

    Questions about dragon age 2?

I recently aquired this game and from the start I'm really enjoying the graphics and the gameplay. One thing that I like when compared to other games is the ability to switch between characters. The thing is I really dont know where to start as far as stats or skills or anything and died on the very first quest when trying to find a new home as pathetic as it sounds.

I recently got banned due to a billing issue on another free to play mmorpg so I baught this game in hopes of passing the time untill i come up with 400 bux to get my account back on the other game. Basically im just asking for maybe a chat room or some newb guides or tutorials or just any advice at all if it helps i would really love to start a rouge class as my first character.Questions about dragon age 2?
If you're a rogue on DA2, up your Constitution for health, and Dexterity for better attack. If you're a dual-weapons rogue, a really high Dexterity means you'll be dealing massive damage later in the game.

With skills, if you're a rogue archer max out your Archery tree (it'll say Archery when choosing which skills you want) before adding extras like stealth and such, and the same if you're dual weapons (though max the weapons tree instead). You'll catch on to it eventually, trust me.

If you keep dying, try turning the difficulty onto Casual settings until you are used to the game and the controls.

    Dragons Age 2 Mage problem.?

I've made two different characters as a mage on Dragons Age 2 now and both of them end up saying they were corrupted and can't load. First time it got stuck on a loading screen and never actually loaded though the fight started and the second time my party kept showing up in Gamlens house. I shut of the counsel and started the game up again and then the second char said it couldn't load anymore. However, my rogue has no trouble at all loading any of the saves. Anyone else having this issue?Dragons Age 2 Mage problem.?
What console are you playing the game on? I suggest you delete those mage characters and start from the beginning. Thats probably the only way to fix that problem for now. The future patches may prevent that from happening but I doubt you can get those characters back. BioWare was forced a harsh release date or a dead line so there are a lot of problems in the game. I blame EA for that.

Is mass effect 1 as good as dragon age: origins?

I just finished Dragon Age: Origins and consider it one of the best rpgs i've ever played. I can't afford the $50 for Dragon Age 2 now, so i'm thinking about buying Mass Effect 1.

Here are the questions i have:

    1. Is the story good?

    2. Is the storytelling as good as DA?

    3. Are the characters as well developed?

    4. Is the party combat system decent?

    5. How good are the rpg elements? (like the dialog choosing)Is mass effect 1 as good as dragon age: origins?
    1. Mass Effect does have a good story, though it's your standard "hero saves the universe" kind of plot.

    2. No, DA definitely has the edge when it comes to story telling. Mass Effect is satisfying enough though.

    3. Both games have great characters, though I like DA's more.

    4. I hated the party combat in ME1, it's a bit better in ME2. It's just very awkward to use. Origins wasn't amazing either, but at least it was intuitive.

    5. Unlike Origins ME has a voiced character. You click on a paraphrased dialogue option and you can hear your character respond. I really like this feature, it makes the cut scenes feel a lot more immersive. The game also keeps track of how good or evil your character decides to be and you can unlock more dialogue options. Is mass effect 1 as good as dragon age: origins?
its good than dragonage in my opinion but can't hope some for you

    it've got a good storyline

What is the relevance to the story of Dragon Age 2 if you romanced Anders in DA:O?

I played the first game as a human noble and married Alistair, sharing the throne. I killed the dragon myself.

Now I'm playing the second game and Anders is in it! I liked Anders. I think I would have chosen him if I hadn't realised I couldn't be Queen that way. I think I'll pick him after seducing all the other characters first in DA2. I'm curious though, what if the Warden had settled down with him at the end of Origins? How could he still be in the game or does he talk about how they broke up?What is the relevance to the story of Dragon Age 2 if you romanced Anders in DA:O?
You can't romance Anders in the first game, all you can do is flirt a little. He hardly mentions the warden at all, I think if you had high approval he will say you were an old friend and that's it.What is the relevance to the story of Dragon Age 2 if you romanced Anders in DA:O?
Anders can only be picked in the Awakening expansion. He is not available in the main game, nor is he part of the original adventures of the warden. He only joined the warden after the Archdemon was killed.

You clearly have not played Origins. You can't marry Anders in DA:O.

I have questions about dragon age 2?

im going to buy it soon and i dont want to be too lost on what to do

    1) if im a mage can i also heal any party members?

    2) do i get to customize my characters outfit or only their apperence

    3) what kind of gameplay does it have (final fantasy, legend of zelda)

    4) is it a long game because if its not then im not buying it (because it would be a waste of money to buy a game that only lasts 10 hours)I have questions about dragon age 2?
1 - yes, given you get the necessary class branches

2 - You customize your characters head, and photo, and can choose what armour to give them, but not much image customization after that.

3 - Same as the first dragon age, and the Star Wars KOTOR games, it is turn based combat in an open-world RPG setting.

4 - YES, very long, I don't ahve the DLCs and I have played it regularly (atleast 2-3 hours a weeknight) and even more on the weekends, and I have yet to beat it after having it for 2 and a half weeksI have questions about dragon age 2?
    1) Yes but you have to pick the abilities

    2) You can pick your main character's outfit through armor but not your party members.

    3) If you've ever played a Bioware game there's really no true comparison. The closest I could think of would be Fable with less vulgarity and more story. More so just because of the whole 'your choices have consequences' thing. You can easily play through a Bioware game ten times and find something new each time and playing them is even better when you link them to a previous game because then you get to see the product of your choices in the last game.

4)It can be. Even doing only the basics it will be longer than ten hours (mostly because of all the plot and the first section of the game where you're pretty much forced to do minor quests). If you play all the side quests it will be much MUCH longer, not even mentioning DLC.I have questions about dragon age 2?
    1) Yes, you can learn the heal ability.

    2) You can change your characters facial appearance and use different amours ect.

    3) Not sure what to say, it is similar to origins but I would say origins is a bit better.

    4) It depends on your difficulty setting and how many side-quests you do, but a ruff estimate is between 25 and 40 hours.

Dragon Age 2 Full Friendship With All Companions?

So I wanted to have friendship with all of my companions, but it seems that I can never get Isabela to like me enough to come back and give the relic back to the Arishock at the end of Act 2. She was so close yet not far enough and my question is...

Is there anyway to have full friendship with all of your characters? I've had no problem except for Isabela. I don't know how to bring up her friendship by Act 2 enough to where she will come back and help me out.

Has anyone managed to keep her in the party without having to romance her? Or is the only way to have her come back is by romance? I've already played the game 2 times and no luck.Dragon Age 2 Full Friendship With All Companions?
It's possible. You just have to use them often, talk to them when your journal tells you to, and know which quests and choices are going to net the most points and which to avoid. Try the DA2 wiki. On each character's page it lists how much friendship or rivalry you can gain for each quest or dialogue choice. It will also tell you what gifts they like and where to find them.

You don't have to romance Isabela to get her meter up. You just need to take her on the right quests and be careful about how you talk to her. Don't be critical and make choices that put fun and profit first. I think she needs to be at over 75 friendship or rivalry to come back with the book.Dragon Age 2 Full Friendship With All Companions?

    +2 health regeneration

How many health does it regen per second ?

If I have like +10 health ring and +2 health regen, which is better ? Looks like regen is but I'm not sure if +2 health regen is every 10 seconds or what ?

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +2 mana/stamina regeneration

Same question for the health regen. Wonder per what sec it regens so I can choose between

    +10 mana/stamina or +2 mana/stamina

I've seen warrior ability rally having +200 mana/stamina and it increases really fast. So I always do bolst and give mages mana. lol Awesome strategy. especially Aveline's just a tank, she doesn't need stamina.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +22% healing to this character

So does this mean if I get this +22% healing to this character amulet, Anders healing spells

give +22% health more or does it mean when Hawke has this Amulet and if Anders cast heal on Hawke, Hawke will gain +22% health unlike other of my companions cause I have this amulet ?

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +3% attack speed

Is this any good ? I mean 3% ? Does it even have a change ?

What should I choose between a sword damage 20 and another sword damage 17 but it has +3% attack speed ? and why ?

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +7% physical damage

So does this mean it increases the sword damage by 7% or the characters every psysical damage ?

If there was a sword damage 20 with +7% physical damage and a sword damage 27 which is better ? Al though 7% won't be just +7 damage of a sword.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +10 armor

If there is a shield with armor 20 with +10 armor and another shield with armor 30 are these shields

the same quality ? Or does it mean the armor 20 shield was previously armor 10 but became 20 because of +10 armor ?

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +400 nature resistance

What's this whole resistance thing ? I know it's decreases the magic damage but do enemies ever use nature magic ? So if it's +500 fire resistance, do I become like invisible to fires ? I want to know how much damage it decreases. I have seen like 2% fire resistance but 500% seems insane.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +7 nature damage across 2m

This was from a bow. I think 2m is pretty short. So if I shoot one, the other guy at the back will only get 7 nature damage on them ? But I'd have to use archers' lance so I can penetrate them right ?

or does it just deal +7 even if I just use normal attacks ?

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +59 attack

It's not +59 damage, it's just attack rating right ? Are these really important ? Everybody says

only rogue needs dexterity for damage and warrior needs strength. But if warrior really only puts attributes on strength and none on dex, how could they ever hit the enemies ? I think these +attacks

are useless unless you're a rogue. I never seen warriors missing their hits on enemies.

Do rogues gain even damage and not just attack rating if they have this ?

I've also seen mage items with +attacks. Doesn't mages have 100% attack rating, since it's a magic ? (Maybe I played diablo too much? lol)

Are these + attacks mean not just attack rating as in failing of attack and dealing 0 damage on enemies but attack rating as kind of dealing decreased damage ?

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    -6 threat generation

Is this useful ? I got a mage boots. I think this will make enemies less want to attack me but -6...is 6 a useful number ?

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +4 fortitude

THe more fortitude is higher, I won't get critical damage, stunned or blowed away ?

Is +4 any useful ? sounds like +0.00001 fortitude. very useless. lolDragon Age 2 items ? Need to know what it exactly means ?
    Health Regeneration %26amp; Mana/Stamina Regeneration

The thing about heath regeneration and mana/stamina regeneration is that your character already has a stat regarding how much you regenerate per. second. So if you choose 2+ health regeneration, that stat will rise with 2.

There are two different kinds of health regeneration and mana/stamina regeneration. There is one for when you're in combat, and there's one for when you're exploring. When in combat, you're health regeneration stat is at 0, but when you're exploring, it's on 10. Combat regeneration heals you every 2 seconds, so if you have 2 in health regeneration, you get 2+ in hit points pr. 2 seconds. When you're exploring, you're healed every third second. You can't have more than 20 health regeneration points all in all.

With stamina, you have a regeneration rate of 1 when in combat, and one of 17.5 when out of combat. I hope that helps.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +22% Healing to this character

This means that when using spells or poultices on the character wearing the amulet, the spell or poultice will be 22% more effective. A health poultice heals 60% of a characters health, but when wearing this amulet, that percentage is forced up to 82%.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +3% attack speed

As it is a percentage we're dealing with, this is obviously better when a character with an already high attack speed uses it. 3% can be a lot if the character is already swift, but used on a slow warrior or mage, it won't make a noticeable difference.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +7% physical damage

Again, as with above, this is only useful with a character who already possesses a high physical damage. Physical damage simply means that it will only enforce attacks of non-elemental form, whereas 7% fire damage, would enforce a mage's fireball attacks and his fire elemental staff.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +10 armor

A shield with 20 in armor and 10+ armor, is as good as a 30 armor shield, yes.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +400 nature resistance

I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be +400% nature resistance?

Assuming that this is correct, I'll continue. Yes, you're right about what nature resistance is. You're more resistant to any damage of nature type. This simply adds to your nature resistance which you can find in your character's profile, you know, where you also go to when you want to level up. So if you only have one nature resistance point, +400% nature resistance will only give you 4 more points. Each point approximately means that you'll take one less percentage of damage of that given form of attack, in this case, nature.

I'm pretty sure the 2% fire resistance amulet/armor/whatever was actually 2+ fire resistance.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +7 nature damage across 2m

The description of this may be misleading, but this is actually pretty useful. It deals +7 nature damage to all enemies in a 2 meters radius of the target.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    +59 attack

Attack determines your accuracy, so this is only important for warriors and rogues since, as you stated, mages NEVER miss an attack. So basically, this has nothing to do with damage, it's just whether or not you hit the enemy. And as a sidenote, you've probably leveled your warriors in a good way, if you've never seen them miss an attack. They must already have a decent attack stat then.

    --------------------------------------鈥?br>
    -6 threat generation

The threat system is pretty complicated, so I'm going to leave you a link in the sources, for you to check up on it yourself.

    ----------------------------------

    +4 fortitude

The higher your fortitude, the less a chance to get stunned or knocked back, as you said. +4 isn't bad. It's the same as 400% assuming you have 1 fortitude point already. If you have plenty of fortitude points, +4 won't make that much of a difference, true.

    I hope this helped.

I'm thinking of getting Dragon Age 2 again, is it worth it?

See i pre ordered it, but when i played it there where WAY too many glitches and stuff, not to mention i could not find ANY of the special armor for ally characters, i did enjoy the game play, and the story was enough to interest me, so, i was wandering, is it worth giving a second chance, have most the glitches been patched and such note, i had it for ps3 and its the only system i can get it for my comp can't run it, thanks ahead of time^^I'm thinking of getting Dragon Age 2 again, is it worth it?
Played it, beat it, got platinum for Ps3. Story was kind of weak, they could have (should have) added like 50 more hours of gameplay. I beat it and just put it away, it wasn't really worth the 55$... Save your money.
Dragon Age II is one of the best games i have played in a long time. I love what they did with the new combat. Mages are more fun to play now then they were in Origins and I love playing mages. The only complaint i would have is that you can not change the armor of your companions but its a very minor complaint.I'm thinking of getting Dragon Age 2 again, is it worth it?
I played DA2 when it came out for PC. Did not find any game breaking gliches. Although there is special armor for your allys, the armor they have on scales with level and most of the armor you find/buy is only usable by you. This was intended by Bioware. DA2 was a great game, just as epic as the first.
Yes. I recently played through DA and liked it so much I bought DA2. I noticed very little glitches and none that were game breaking. Not as long or epic(but still pretty epic) as the first one, but definitely worth it in my opinion.

    Happy gaming! ^_^

This is on Xbox 360 btwI'm thinking of getting Dragon Age 2 again, is it worth it?

What video games let you play as a race other than human?

Ive grown tired of looking at my stupid human character in Dragon Age 2, So i was wondering if there are any games out there that let you create your character and let you pick from different races. I am looking specifically for games that let you play as a Dwarf or an Orc. Please NO MMOs. Thank you for your help. What video games let you play as a race other than human?
There are old games like Neverwinter Nights or Baldur's gate which let you have a lot of freedom to build your character. If you didn't grow up with them though the graphics will be painful to look at. You can buy them from GOG for pretty cheap. What video games let you play as a race other than human?
Well, Dragon Age Origins obviously. Elder scrolls oblivion. Thats all I can think of.
