What console RPG would you say has the strongest romantic elements?

I've been trying to get my wife to try out my type of games for a few years. (RPGs) She's partially considered it but I don't want to make her initial one something she wouldn't enjoy/connect wtih the characters etc. I'm looking for a good RPG in the last few generations (PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, 360, Wii, Gamecube, DS, GBA, PSP) that has strong character and to a degree romantic elements to it. I feel that would draw her in the most.



You don't have to go with the most popular games, chances are I have it or can get hold of it pretty easily. So please give any suggestions and say why.



What I've thought of so far was Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy X. Those both have strong relationship elements to them. (VII I threw out as Cloud has the emotions of a tin can; I also tossed Shadow Hearts as the 2nd is where it is strongest and well, she is already dead.)



I also thought about the recently released Dragon Age: Origins as it has a large degree of character interactions available. I thought of other Bioware games (Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic) for same reason.



Still I may not have thought of many more and am not sure about what I've considered. So thanks for any suggestions and help.What console RPG would you say has the strongest romantic elements?
Honestly, FFX would probably be the best bet. I know a few friends who got their girlfriends / wives somewhat into rpg gaming with FFX :)



FFVII may be a bit "dark" for someone looking for a romantic element in a video game. Anything below the Xbox, PS2 platforms may turn your wife off to the idea because of the graphics / no voice acting...



FFX wins it.
Final Fantasy X would be a great romantic game and also a great game in general. FF VIII can be a little confusing for a beginner. Star Ocean till the end of time is a good romance game, plus action. it is an action rpg sort of. you have to be smart about attacking, but its good, and will definitely be time consuming. lol good luckWhat console RPG would you say has the strongest romantic elements?
id give it to kingdom hearts its cheesy but its good
I agree FFX is a good choice, but so is Kingdome hearts. With that you get Disney (Who doesn't love it) and an intro to FF.



Lunar: Silver star story if you can get is a great love story. It has voice overs, great plot and relatively easy gameplay.



I would sugest FF9 but then you have to put up with iritating monkey clone boy. But Vivi is sweet and Garnet is very loveable.



If it was not limited to consoles I would suggest World of Warcraft so you get the whole real time social interaction thing.What console RPG would you say has the strongest romantic elements?
ffx definetly has a great story. go to youtube and look a the ffx ending and see for yourself. ffx-2 has great t %26amp; a if your wife is in to that lol
