When you play games based on morality choices, do you play like in real life or out of character?

Mass Effect 1/2, Dragon Age: Origins, Assassin's Creed series, and Skyrim for example.

thanks to all who answer! When you play games based on morality choices, do you play like in real life or out of character?
i would usually play as like i was deciding in real life, i wouldnt be cruel and evil, or side with "the bad men"just cause its a game .. maybe it speaks to our(or maybe just my) nature - most men would rather be a raveered hero, than a feared villan,

( i would like to say that my main save of the game would be like this - i usually have other saves that are kinda bad - still not eeevil though)
p.s - huge fan of fallout and new vegas !! thats the game i based this answer on )When you play games based on morality choices, do you play like in real life or out of character?
First time I usually play to my own morality. I get much more immersed in the game making decisions true to myself. Second time I like to play a more flexible, self serving character. Though it's hard for me to be truly evil in games. When you play games based on morality choices, do you play like in real life or out of character?
I try to play based on how I would do it personally, as that is the appeal of most morality based games.
