What is the future of Rpg games? Where the heck its moving on?

i hate to admit this but i enjoy playing Dragon Age II but in a wrong way... i enjoy fighting absolutely ridiculous waves of enemies with my area damage focused mage and can't taking 2 steps without mass genocide. UNFORTUNATELY! that's not what i would expect to enjoy especially in a bioware game i don't want to rant about DA2 disaster it would take all 5k characters i can write. where rpg industry is going on people? Are CdProjekt and Bethesda our only hopes left to role play decently? What is the future of Rpg games? Where the heck its moving on?
It all depends on what you want. If you are a fan of JRPGs like FF, than you will need to turn away fromconsoles and into handhelds, where the market is. If you prefer the oldschool games like D %26amp; D, you won't have much to look forwards to

Nowadays people have become impatient and want everything faster. When it cmes to rpgs like Mass Effect, they are slowly moving out of RPG and into Shooters like Borderlands.

The few gamemakers who have been steadily producing games like Oblivion and Morrowind are few and far between. The bad news is that you can only expect one good RPG every one or two years [unless you are willing to turn to MMO's like *WoW* (Shudder)]. The good news is that developers are starting to make their games moddable; try picking up Oblivion after 4 years and installing Nehrim.

You answer your question, yes and no. They are not your only hope; but video and roleplaying games are not what they were 10 years agoWhat is the future of Rpg games? Where the heck its moving on?
I think Bethesda most definitely is (I don't like CDProjekt games) the future of RPGs. Bioware messed up when they went for "mainstream appeal." Mass Effect 3 is going to be horrid, because it is barely going to count as an RPG. It will be a 3rd Person Shooter. It's sad, but true.
