The witcher 2, shed some light on it for me?

Hey i have been reading up on the witcher 2 for awhile now, and well im a dragon age fan just because the different gear and weapons you get are shown on the character you play and the vast options of spells and attacks you can use. So im wondering if its the same in "the witcher 2" where for example you can see the new boots you just collected, ect.

Also is there a nice option of spells or attacks you can do, or is it a button mashing mind numbing fanaza.

Please someone with the answers to these help shed some light for me?

Thanks, Peace. The witcher 2, shed some light on it for me?
Well, if you are really looking for spells, action and equipment, this is the game for you. I have played both Dragon Age, and the first Witcher, and i must say that the witcher was waay more interesting han dragon age. The game's biggest quality is its nonlinearity, which means that the choices you make can vastly influence how your game is going to end eventually. in the first withcer there was only 5 spells, of which i only used 2: Aard, and Ignis. I'm not sure how it is going to work in the second one, but i think there might be some more of them. In any case, the witcher is the only game i know where you can actually try alchemy: making your own potions, elixirs enhancing your fighting or spellcasting abilities... Do not confuse with a drug laboratory. And the conversations between the characters are funny as ****.

I hope this helps,

The Witcher setting is rather low-fantasy so don't expect a lot of spell-flinging. Geralt (who is the protagonist) is an expert swordsman so we'll see plenty of awesome combos, he is also skilled in alchemy (from buffs to bombs) and can use low magic known as 'signs'.

The first Witcher game had a very simple but effective fighting system and as far as I know they promised to make it more immersive and a bit more direct control.

I don't know about equipment - in the first game it was secondary to direct character progression and knowledge of the fighting system and I doubt they'll change it much.
