What doyou think of my video game idea?

I had a great idea for a good video game. You remember the popular video game series Double Dragon? Well I thought it would be a good idea to resurrect the well-known franchise that started the whole street brawler concept. I even had some ideas for the game that may make it amusing.



Plot/Story:



You remember that hard-to-beat shadow warrior from Double Dragon 2 that gave gamers hell on earth? Well the good news is he dead and gone for good. The bad news, he has a twin brother who is also a Gensatsuken master and is seeking revenge on the Double Dragons. He has sent what's left of the original shadow warriors and some new ones to terrorize the city of New York in order to smoke the dragons out. The new shadow warriors even attack the DD's martail art dojo and attack some of the students. While the Lee twins fought off the shadow warriors along side the master/father, Mr.Lee, the dojo was destroyed in an explosion and Mr.Lee made the ultimate sacafice when he allowed the twins to escape and was caught in the explosion and was killed. Billy and Jimmy Lee will have to fight the way thought different shadow warrior gang members in order to get revenge for the destruction of their dojo and for the death of their father.



Gameplay:



The gameplay will borrow elements from games like Shennmue, Final Fight: Streetwise, Tenchu and Beatdown: Fist of Vengence. The game is not just about beating up gangbangers and moving on the the next level. Players will have to play throught challenges and complete tasks in order to move the story along. Some tasks most be completed in order to progress through the game while other are optional. For example, one task includes playing a game of pool with a character named Russell in order to coax him into revealing information regarding the Shadow Warriors new hideout. The game features a stealth techniques where, depending on the mission, you can sneak up on an oppenent and perform a devasting stealth attack(Kinda remenisent of Tenchu or Batman Begins). There are 5 stealth attacks that vary depending on where you attack an enemy(behind, left side, right side, on the ground crouched, and in the air). Each character has their own stealth moves. Also there are double team attacks that can be performed once the team-up bar is full. The game featuresuper moves that can be performed when the super meter is full. The gameplay will keep gamers on the toes.



Characters:



Besides Billy and Jimmy Lee, their are a total of 20 characters in the game. Like fighting games before it players most progress through story mode in order to unlock the characters. Characters can be unlocked by either defeating them or by completing tasks relevant to the character. Just to name a few, the game will the following charcaters:



Heros:



Billy Lee: He began his martial arts training at age 12 and became a Sou-Setsu-Ken master at age 20. He was recently responsible for the downfall of the Shadow Warriors gang. Now he out to avenege the death of he father at the hand of the new shoadow warriors.



Jimmy Lee: He operates the Sou-Setsu-Ken Dojo alongside his younger brother. He was also responsible for the downfall of the Shadow Warriors. He join his brother, Billy, in their quest to avenge the father's death.



Marian: After being the damsel in distress on many ocassions, Marion decides to learn some self-defense of her own and is a part-time arobics instructor. The love of Billy's life, she is a very important assest to the twins. She can be unlocked by saving her from being attack outside of her arobics building.



Russell: Big-time street brawler and expert pool player. You must beat him in a game of pool to unlock him.



Tim Goor: He an expert kickboxer who barly survived being attacked by the shadow warriors. Unlock him by retrieving his lucky bandana that was stolen by a three thugs.



Dillian Jones: He an expert in karate and can fight without the use of his eyes. Defeat him while he's blindfolded, he will be unlocked.



Max"Smasher" Simms: An over-sized brute who a is an bouncer at a NYC bar. Defeating him in an arm-wrestling contest will unlock him.



Villians:

Returning Shadow Warriors:



Williams: A grunt and old enemy of the Lee twins. He still uses weapons like knives and iron pipes. He also likes to dash or do front flips while approaching the player.



Roper: Another old enemy who like to use incendiary bombs and boomerangs.



Jeff: A returning enemy who uses his own rough style of Karate. He meaner and stronger than before.



Abobo: Everone's favorite strongman returns for more. This time Abobo will be harder to beat and uses move similiar the Zangiffi from the Street Fighter series like the Spinning Lariate.



New Shadow Warriors:



Griff: An expert gunsmith and firearms experts. He was the guy who sold Willyhis machine gun in DD1



Rex Slugger: A former boxer who bad reputation got him kick-out of boxing(Based on Balrog from Street Fighter).What doyou think of my video game idea?

Gettin played my friend. Adult Swim is actually just running out the rest of the anime series they licensed of tv and probably not getting any more. They just can't afford the licenses. What your friend could've meant was that Cartoon Network had it on for a while (yes, they did switch to the Funimation Version after the Alibasta Season). However, cartoon network will only play naruto (which might also stop pretty soon...) before Adult Swim comes on. Most of the anime they have licensed is playing on Cartoon Network's streaming (I think Adult Swim is doing so also). So yeah, that's what's happening on television right now. For those of us who can't (or won't) watch anime online, 'tis a sad year ahead of us. -___-

No, not really. I've seen weirder in the stuff I read. If I read the entire series, I would probably see that stuff all over the place.(I have read what's ever in Shonen Jump since 2003, got three years worth of volumes from garage sale).

Do you like the name Dragons Blood for a book?

Dragons Blood is about a girl, Olivia Sophie Winslow.



Olivia and her family are at a cottage during the summer vacation. While Olivia is walking home, she notices a red light, so she walks up to it- Surrounded by darkness (in a cave) and she touches it. And she is sent back in time, to the 1800's. But at first she doesn't know that, but when she see's people wearing dresses from the past, and men wearing trousers and stuff like that, she notices something different. So, when she's trying to find a way back home, she runs into a boy. Elijah de Riviere. She say's that he is a good looking boy for someone back then. So later on in the book, she discovers that Elijah is keeping a pet, and that certain pet is a dragon. He named the dragon Icefyre. Icefyre and Elijah have a long time history, Elijah kept Icefyre for ten years. Never told anyone else about it. So the two of them both have to keep it a secret, and try to get Olivia home.

Name of Television Series in the 90's?

I loved it so much as a kid, but I simply forgot the name. I only this much about the show:



1) Several martial artists of different age, gender, and styles compete in a fictional, live-action setting portrayed as real for the ultimate prize: I believe it is called the Dragon Belt.



2) Sometimes, these characters encounter ninja henchmen that are told by the tournament announcer to "engage" or "disengage".



3) Sometimes, the martial artists perform feats of dexterity, strength, and the like. They interact with each other in between matches. I do know that the format has story arcs.Name of Television Series in the 90's?
i believe the show was called WMAC masters and began in 1995 with bruce lee's daughter shannon as host. i loved that show also, though i was in my 20's when i watched it.

Good Romantic Anime Series?

I'm basically up for anything romantic, but try not to recommend anything too sexual, in case my mom walks in the room and sees, but if there's like one or two scenes out of the whole thing, then I guess it would be okay. Its not mandatory, but I do prefer it to be a girl as the main character, and Reverse Harem and Love triangle are my favorite genres. I like it best when the characters are in middle to high school in age, but that doesn't really matter. Also not too big on Shounen-Ai or Yaoi.



I have seen all these, plus all mini series that came from them, sequels, movies and specials, but I did not enjoy all of these, so please don't give recs based on them, I just list them so you know what not to rec.:

Phantom: Requiem for the phantom, is my favorite anime series. You can find it easily on Animefreak.tv. It's an action, romance, tragedy kind of thing. It's got a lot of fighting, but the romance scenes are kawaii desu ne!
Just to add, it isn't set in a high school, it's also got a mafia/gang/yakusa story line to it. Not sure if that's you thing or not.
